Good Bye as District Directors and Hello as GWRRA Members
Wow this has been a fantastic season. I was out riding yesterday, the 19th Oct and it was a beautiful fall day; lots of sun and 21 degrees. As I was riding down to Port Rowan, taking in the fall colours I noticed a lot of bikes getting that last few rides in before the cold and damp weather sets in. Just remember to stay vigilant and safe with all the leaves blowing around
As most of you have heard, Sue and I are stepping down as District Directors effective 2nd November 2017 and Gary McDermott will be your new District Director. Please give him and his staff the great and overwhelming support that you gave us. With him come a few changes to GWRRA and the organization. Gary will all be able to explain and answer any questions you may have.
Sue and I have traveled to many of the chapters and have had a great time building lots of good memories and meeting many old and new friends that we will take with us to our new home in Port Rowan. So if you are in the area please look us up or we may see you on the road while we travel all these new roads to us in southern Ontario.
We have been District Directors for two years and in that time, with the help of my staff (without them this would not have been possible and we Thank You) we have developed an excellent monthly newsletter (CONNECTION – Thanks to our Editor Helen) and put together a District website. These are tools that each chapter has been using to communicate their special events, rides and socials as well as sale items to other chapters. It is recommended that each chapter continue to utilize the Connection and Web Site to inform others on what is going on in your chapter. This way we can all take part in the many fun activities going on around the district.
For now all we can say is Thank You to everyone and we will see you at the next breakfast, ride or event.
